The Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Library provides the latest in information technology along with a comprehensive collection of books, audio books, journals, computer assisted instruction and audiovisuals available for students, faculty and community members.   Databases and an electronic book collection, available online at all times, offer searchers the latest in information from reputable sources.  An online test bank provides the opportunity to practice for required exams such as SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GED, U.S.Citizenship and much much more.  The Library’s online catalog, Unicorn, provides the means to search the library collection on campus and via the College website.  Trained staff is available to assist during hours of operation.

The Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Library operates two facilities.  The Library is located in the Gressette Learning Resource Center (Building B) on the second floor.   The Health Sciences Media Center is located in the Health Sciences Building (Building K) in Room 104.

LRC Rules

The rules for behavior as outlined in the South Carolina Tech Student Code apply to patrons using the Library and Media Center. Behaviors not allowed include: possession or use of firearms or dangerous weapons, alcoholic beverages, narcotic or unlawful drugs, theft or malicious destruction of property, or engaging in any disruptive activity.

Under no circumstances will food, beverages or smoking be permitted in the Library or Media Center. Disruptive patrons, as well as anyone eating, drinking or smoking will be asked to leave. Repeated offenses may result in suspension of Library privileges.

Theft or concealment of library materials will be prosecuted under the Library Security Act of the Code of Laws of South Carolina.

All patrons must abide by copyright law restrictions in use of the copy machine, access to the Internet, electronic databases, electronic books and all other library resources, whether in printed or electronic format.   Copyright notices are posted in both the Library and the Media Center.
