Enrollment
Procedures
- Complete the course request form. High school students may register for a course only with
permission of the guardian, guidance counselor, and principal.
- Applications should be submitted to the high school site coordinator. There will be a site
coordinator for each Alliance high school.
- Out-of-Alliance students should contact their area school district office. Orangeburg
Consolidated School District Four (803-534-8081) is currently processing requests.
- Once
school-based
approval
has
been
granted
and
the
registration
process
is
complete,
the
high
school
site
coordinator
will
advise
you
of
fees and
payment
procedures.
- Upon receiving student registration materials, OCtech will assign an instructor and
provide necessary login information. This information will be directed to the student and his/her guidance
counselor. A school administrator (responsible for textbooks) will assign a textbook to the
student, if appropriate. If the student must secure his/her textbook, the school administrator
will provide information to the student.
NOTE: Credit
recovery
students
will
receive
orientation
and log-in
information
from
their
school
site-coordinator
unless
enrolled
in a
WebCT
- based
course.
- Dual credit students must complete an OCtech application, and parents must sign a South
Carolina financial aid form in order to obtain lottery assistance.
- Before
the
start
of
the
semester,
all
high
school
credit
and
dual
enrollment
students
are
required
to
attend
an
orientation
session,
where
VA
teachers
will
provide
an
introduction
to
the
course
materials
and
online
learning
expectations.
