•    Teaching Performance:  Conducts classroom, clinical, and/or laboratory instruction (100% course load) using systematically planned and delivered instruction for courses.
•    Instructional Development and Management:  Reviews, evaluates, and revises course objectives, instructional materials and course syllabus on continuing basis.  Designs new courses as needed for the program.  Maintains records of student academic progress and attendance; evaluates level of achievement, and assigns grades for courses.
•    Student Advisement:  Serves as academic advisor to students and participates in student recruitment and development
•    .Professional Development:  Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching competence and to stay current in teaching field.

Facilitate supervised industry work experience for students and any follow-up requirements.

Teaching assignments may include both day and evening classes, online classes or hybrid classes on the main campus or in local high schools.
SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Business or Management.  Three to five years of experience working in industry and intermediate Excel experience/knowledge required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience in operations management and/or logistics; 18 graduate hours in Accounting or CPA; and/or experience with Microsoft Project. MBA also preferred.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  To manage and support the College’s enterprise database and related systems to include documenting, reporting and security.

•    Administers internal and hosted database management systems and provides college-wide support (e.g., programming, reporting, monitoring, coordination) for various college information systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, LMS, HDMS).
•    Participates in the development, installation, testing, and implementation of new and modified information, records management, and/or administrative systems.    
•    Provides technical support for College data systems, including contact with vendors for software package support and problem resolution.  
•    Maintains system integrity and compliance with standards and security by monitoring and testing database systems.
•    Coordinates, installs, and tests database management and related systems, including system updates and patches. 

QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma and 5 yrs. experience in computer system development and modification or a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 1year experience in computer system development and modification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in support of an ERP system at an institution of higher education is preferred.  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The ability to effectively and independently communicate with users, both verbally and in clear concise technical reports is critical for this position.  Experience with Microsoft SQL.  Excellent customer service skills are also required.  Previous experience with Ellucian Colleague and an understanding of education support business processes such as financial aid, enrollment management, finance and governmental reporting is preferred.  Experience working in a cross functional team environment is preferred.   

This position may require the incumbent to work from a remote location beyond the standard 37.5 hours/week and could include working nights, weekends, and holidays.  Employee will be required to carry a State-issued laptop for after-hours contact.  Position may also require overnight travel.  Incumbent may be required to work during emergency or hazardous weather situations.

Physical Therapist Assistant Lecturer
DEPARTMENT: Nursing and Health Sciences

•    Provide teaching instruction to PTA students in the classroom and lab.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s preferred. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, certified by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association and have two year’s clinical experience.

Adjunct Automotive & Light Diesel Instructor  
DEPARTMENT: Computer, Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Technology or Master’s Degree in Computer Technology with relevant industry certifications in Network/Cyber Security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification; two or more years of college level teaching experience and industry experience is preferred.

Adjunct Welding Instructor               
DEPARTMENT: Career and Technical Education

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Teaches classroom and laboratory courses. Prepare and teach a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless and aluminum) and fabrication. Supervises students during classroom and laboratory activities. 

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in teaching discipline or Graduate Apprentice in appropriate field.  Minimum of 5 years full-time experience or journey worker status required. 
Possess an ability and desire to teach and work with members of the department.
Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, all position plate and pipe, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Must be proficient with OxyFuel and Plasma Cutting equipment. Must be capable of operation and maintaining all welding lab equipment. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s preferred. Teaching experience with NCCER certification preferred.

Adjunct Truck Driving Instructor 
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Training and Economic Development

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Must have a valid SC Commercial Driving License and meet all requirements stated in the SC Code of Regulations Chapter 38 Department of Public Safety, 38-215.

Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid South Carolina Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License; have logged at least 100,000 miles of over-the-road truck driving or have completed a certified truck driver training school and have no convictions of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude preceding the date of application.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree in Nursing for Lecturer position and Bachelors or Master’s Degree for Lab & Clinical.  Must be licensed RN in SC.  Experience in a setting is required to facilitate instruction of ADN students in clinical experience.
