DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Triage students that enter the Office of Admissions
Assist with mailing admissions information such as acceptance letters, missing information letters,
Campus Cruiser information, etc.
Assist all Admissions Counselors with campus tours and recruiting events.
Responsible for scheduling prospective student appointments with counselors.
Oversee and update the Office of Admissions calendar.
Develop and implement an in house inventory system for the Office of Admissions.
Provides prospective students with information about the college and the admissions process
through face to face, email and phone calls.
Assist Admissions Counselors with contacting prospective students to update them on their status.
Responsible for answering the phone at the Office of Admissions Welcome Center.
Responsible for keeping all admissions magazine racks filled with the necessary updated
information.
Assist with inputting of admissions applications and test scores.
Responsible for keeping all admissions packets updated.
Other duties as assigned.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Associate degree with 2 years of Student Services/Admissions related work experience required.  Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35-55 wpm and/or basic knowledge of computer operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree in Administrative Office or Student Services.

QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for this job you must have at least a Master’s Degree in Sociology OR a Master’s Degree with 18 semester credit hours in Sociology at the graduate level.

  Teaches classroom and laboratory courses. Prepare and teach a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless and aluminum) and fabrication. Supervises students during classroom and laboratory activities.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  Associate Degree in teaching discipline or Graduate Apprentice in appropriate field.  Minimum of 5 years full-time experience or journey worker status required.
Possess an ability and desire to teach and work with members of the department.
Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, all position plate and pipe, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Must be proficient with OxyFuel and Plasma Cutting equipment. Must be capable of operation and maintaining all welding lab equipment. |
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s preferred. Teaching experience with NCCER certification preferred.

: Two years truck driving experience. Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid South Carolina Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License; have logged at least 100,000 miles of over-the-road truck driving or have completed a certified truck driver training school and have no convictions of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude preceding the date of application.

*Position will require outside work.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma; or 10th grade equivalency + 1 yr related work experience.
