TITLE:  Adjunct Automotive Instructor
DEPARTMENT:  
Computer, Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

TYPE OF POSITION:  Temporary, Part-time
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  To conduct assigned classes of instruction in the Automotive Technology Program.  Supervise students working during repair of vehicles in a lab setting as a compliment to other instruction activities.
SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in appropriate major required. Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the automotive repair field.  Must have A.S.E. Certification relevant to training and Electrical Certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Teaching experience.


 


TITLE:   Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor        
DEPARTMENT: Nursing and Health Sciences
SALARY:  Commensurate with Education & Experience

TYPE OF POSITION:  Temporary, Part-time
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Teach assigned courses and provides clinical instruction, reviews, evaluates and revises course objectives and serves as academic advisor. 
SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree in Nursing, must be licensed RN in SC.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Previous teaching experience preferred.


TITLE:  Adjunct Welding Instructor              
DEPARTMENT:  Career and Technical Education
OPENING DATE:  8/26/2013                                 
CLOSING DATE:  Open until filled
TYPE OF POSITION:  Part-Time, Temporary
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  Teaches classroom and laboratory courses. Prepare and teach a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless and aluminum) and fabrication. Supervises students during classroom and laboratory activities.
SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Associate Degree in teaching discipline or Graduate Apprentice in appropriate field.  Minimum of 5 years full-time experience or journey worker status required.
Possess an ability and desire to teach and work with members of the department.
Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, all position plate and pipe, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Must be proficient with OxyFuel and Plasma Cutting equipment. Must be capable of operation and maintaining all welding lab equipment. |
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s preferred. Teaching experience with NCCER certification preferred.


TITLE:  Adjunct Associate Degree Nursing Instructor- Psychiatric         
DEPARTMENT: Academic Affairs

TYPE OF POSITION:  Temporary, Part-time
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Teach assigned courses and provide clinical instruction.  OCtech’s ADN program is NLNAC accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (LLNAC), Inc. and is approved by the SC State Board of Nursing.
SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree in Nursing with experience in a psychiatric setting required.  Must be licensed RN in SC.  Experience in a  setting is required to facilitate instruction of senior ADN students in clinical experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience desired.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:  Unofficial transcripts are required for review of qualifications.



TITLE:  Adjunct Truck Driving Instructor
DEPARTMENT:

TYPE OF POSITION:  Temporary, Part-Time
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  Must have a valid SC Commercial Driving License and meet all requirements stated in the SC Code of Regulations Chapter 38 Department of Public Safety, 38-215.
SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years truck driving experience. Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid South Carolina Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License; have logged at least 100,000 miles of over-the-road truck driving or have completed a certified truck driver training school and have no convictions of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude preceding the date of application.
