Title: Administrative Assistant

TYPE OF POSITION:  Temporary (20 hours/week)

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:   Assists the Advising Center personnel in management of students.  Assists students with advisement and the registration process using OCtech Connect.  Helps Advising Staff with training for faculty on advisement/registration and Datatel, provides administrative assistance and technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma.

Two-year Office Systems Technology graduate or four years of computer/secretarial experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
 
TITLE:  Adjunct Automotive & Light Diesel Instructor 
DEPARTMENT:  Computer, Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  To conduct assigned classes of instruction in the Automotive Technology Program.  Supervise students working during repair of vehicles in a lab setting as a compliment to other instruction activities.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in appropriate major required. Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the automotive repair field.  Must have ASE Certification relevant to training and ASE Electrical Certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Teaching experience preferred.



TITLE:  Adjunct CNA Instructor (Certified Nursing Assistant)

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  Job opportunities for CNA Program:

Assistant in CNA program.  
Lead Instructor in our CNA program.

Position teaches assigned courses and provides clinical/lab instruction. 

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Assistant in CNA program should be a LPN or RN licensed in SC.  Lead CNA Instructor would need to be an RN (with 5 years experience in Geriatrics). Must be licensed RN in SC.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Previous teaching experience desired.

Adjunct Instructor for ADN Flex – Lecture/Lab position.

Position teaches assigned courses and provides clinical instruction. Teaching schedules available for day and evening and weekend.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree in Nursing for Lecturer position and Bachelors or Master’s Degree for Lab & Clinical.  Must be licensed RN in SC.  Experience in a setting is required to facilitate instruction of ADN students in clinical experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Previous teaching experience desired.

TITLE:  Adjunct Welding Instructor               

DEPARTMENT:  Career and Technical Education

TYPE OF POSITION:  Temporary, Part Time

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
  Teaches classroom and laboratory courses. Prepare and teach a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless and aluminum) and fabrication. Supervises students during classroom and laboratory activities.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  Associate Degree in teaching discipline or Graduate Apprentice in appropriate field.  Minimum of 5 years full-time experience or journey worker status required.
Possess an ability and desire to teach and work with members of the department.
Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, all position plate and pipe, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Must be proficient with OxyFuel and Plasma Cutting equipment. Must be capable of operation and maintaining all welding lab equipment. |
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s preferred. Teaching experience with NCCER certification preferred.

  Adjunct Truck Driving Instructor

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
:  Must have a valid SC Commercial Driving License and meet all requirements stated in the SC Code of Regulations Chapter 38 Department of Public Safety, 38-215.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Two years truck driving experience. Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid South Carolina Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License; have logged at least 100,000 miles of over-the-road truck driving or have completed a certified truck driver training school and have no convictions of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude preceding the date of application.
