Summer Pre-Engineering Institute
The Summer Pre-Engineering Institute at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College provides an opportunity for students to participate in Project Lead the Way® and gain high school and college credit during the summer. Each course is offered in a concentrated three week session. The students receive dual credit for the course at OCtech and they might use the courses for credit, depending on their program of study, if enrolling in engineering or engineering technology programs at other universities having articulation agreements with OCtech or PLTW®. The Summer Pre-Engineering Institute offers 15 seats per session. The institute is open to high school students with a grade of ‘B’ or better in algebra-related course, including incoming freshmen. Space is limited, therefore students are encouraged to apply early in order to ensure acceptance.
