Engineering Graphics


Photo of student working on CAD machine.This program will provide the technical knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level employment in industry as a design draftsman, tool designer, research assistant, engineering assistant, detailer and mechanical draftsman. Students learn about assembly drawing, process drawing, elementary layout drawing, 3D Modeling and mechanical assemblies drawing. Three certificates are available in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and can be completed in one year, and be applied toward an Associate Degree.

The Engineering Graphics Technology Program at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College has an articulation agreement with South Carolina State University that transfers into the B.S. Degree in Professional Land Surveying.   

Salaries:

The average starting salary for CAD Operators is $30,000.
