Respiratory Care

Respiratory therapists care for patients who have trouble breathing due to chronic respiratory illnesses. They also provide care for premature babies, the elderly and those suffering from life-threatening medical emergencies.

OCtech's Respiratory Care program provides the advanced training needed to demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills in a variety of healthcare settings. Career opportunities may include adult and neonatal intensive care units (ICUs and NICUs), general floor therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, sleep labs and transport teams.

The Respiratory Care program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), 1248 Harwood Road, Bedford, TX 76021-4244; 817.283.2835; www.coarc.com.
