Presidential Scholars Program 
We are looking for the best of the best among recent high school graduates! Do you want to be involved in something special that sets you apart from the rest of the crowd? Do you want to save thousands of dollars while still working toward your educational goals? If so, this elite program is for you!

What is the Presidential Scholars Program?
• a one-year program
• targets the best of the best! recent high school  grads with at least a 3.0 GPA who have never attended college
• promotes academic and leadership skills
• includes a summer enrichment program for transferrable course credits of either study abroad or an internship with a local business 

So Many Benefits
Be ready for the next step in your college career! Selected participants will take 30+ hours of transferrable general education courses that will be customized based upon transfer college and curriculum.

Save Money! Students meeting the qualifications of admissions into the program will pay no tuition due to Life Scholarship or greatly reduced tuition due to Pell Grant. Students will be provided with a laptop computer/netbook upon enrollment into the program to use during their time at the college.

Students will visit their chosen in-state transfer college. While on the campus, each student will attend a class that is part of his or her major curriculum, take a tour, and meet and talk to students, faculty, and student services representatives.

Make Connections! Students will visit area businesses relevant to their curriculum, meet area business leaders and discuss issues regarding trends and job outlooks in specific career fields.

Fun Activities! Students will be provided opportunities to attend college activities such as basketball or baseball games on four-year college campuses, local concerts or theatrical performances, just to name a few. At least one activity will be available each semester.
