Scholarships are awarded yearly through the OCtech Foundation. Application deadlines are in July of each year. Any outside scholarships that come into the OCtech financial aid office will be posted on the Campus Cruiser under announcements. The SC Life Scholarship is available to all students who meet the eligibility requirements.
Students with financial need may be awarded grants based on individual grant eligibility. The federal government and the state of South Carolina offer grants that do not have to be repaid. Grant aid can be used for educational expenses including tuition and fees, books and supplies, and cost of living while enrolled at OCtech.
Lottery Tuition Assistance
Lottery Tuition Assistance (LTA) is available for eligible full-time students (12 or more credit hours) and eligible part-time students.
Student loans, unlike grants and work-study, are borrowed money that must be repaid, with interest, just like car loans and home mortgages.Loans are legal obligations, so before you take out a student loan, think about the amount you'll have to repay over the years.
OCtech is approved for all college-related veterans' educational programs. Any veteran, dependent of a deceased or totally disabled veteran, veteran on active duty, or active reservist or national guardsman may be eligible to receive veteran's educational benefits. Please contact the Veteran's Affairs Office at 535.1223 for more information.
