OCtech Foundation Names Williams to Board of Directors

The Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Foundation has welcomed Virginia “Ginny” Watson Williams to its board of directors.

Williams is an attorney at Williams & Williams Attorneys at Law. She earned bachelor’s degrees in history and Spanish from the University of South Carolina, a master’s in bilingual legal interpreting from the College of Charleston and a Juris Doctor degree from the USC School of Law.

A native of Pinopolis, Williams has served on the Big Brothers Big Sisters board and volunteers with Catch the Vision. Her family actively supports and advocates for the Alzheimer’s Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Elloree Heritage Museum, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia and First Baptist Church of Orangeburg. She is also a member of the Petal Pushers Garden Club. Williams and her husband, David, live in Orangeburg with their children, Burns and Olivia.

The Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Foundation was established in 1977 to further the educational aims of OCtech and its students and employees. It raises financial support in the community to assist the college through capital campaigns, annual fund drives and special events.

“We are thrilled to have Ginny on our team,” said Faith McCurry, executive director of the OCtech Foundation. “Her unique knowledge, experiences and ideas will be a wonderful asset to the board.”
