Narrative: Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College (OCtech) is invested in a systematic approach to the process and importance of the evaluation of all of its employees. The College provides a policy and procedures manual that includes the process for evaluation for faculty, staff, and all institutional officers. The process is also well-documented in employee handbooks and is available online. OCtech evaluates the effectiveness of all employees at least annually, including its administrators and the President.
The Human Resource's Office oversees administration and documentation of all employee evaluations with the exception of the President’s. The President’s evaluation is conducted annually by the Area Commission in accordance with the Orangeburg-Calhoun Area Technical Education Commission Bylaws Article IV Section 4.1a: Employment of Personnel.
Employee files located in the Human Resources Office serve as evidence that College practice follows both policy and procedure.
