Narrative: In the SC Code of Laws Section 59-53-1030: Powers of commission, the Orangeburg-Calhoun Area Technical Education Commission is delegated the primary responsibility for local governance of the College. The Commission operates under its own by-laws and authority granted from the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education. A designated geographic service area is named for each college. The College’s mission for this area comes from SC Code of Laws Section 59-53-1020: Development of a Vocational Training Program.
