Narrative: The Orangeburg-Calhoun Area Education Commission is responsible for setting policy as discussed in Compliance Certification Report Narrative 3.2.6. Policies are developed by the Area Commission and implemented by the administration as indicated in Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Policy 1.001: Policy and Procedure System.

Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College (OCtech) clearly defines and publishes a hierarchy of reporting relationships within the institution. The organizational structure delineates the relationships between the Area Commission, President, administration, deans, and program coordinators, showing the coordination and management of OCtech. The College is divided appropriately into divisions for effective operation. The organizational structure has an adequate number and quality of staff to lead the College in fulfilling its mission. The College's organizational charts indicate a clear distinction of function and reporting, and the job duties of each administrative staff member are clearly defined. The organizational chart is available online, in faculty handbooks, and in the Human Resource office.
