Narrative: Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College (OCtech) accurately represents the institution in its recruitment materials. The College exhibits integrity and responsibility in both advertising and student recruitment. OCtech accurately represents the accreditation status of the institution and specifically accredited programs and adheres to the principles of good practice established by the Commission.

The main information sources for prospective and current students include the following: Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College Catalog, the Semester Course Schedule brochures, and the public website (http://www.octech.edu). All recruitment materials are designed and produced in the OCtech Public Relations Office. Photographs depict actual facilities on campus and active programs of study available to students. Publications that reflect programs and services are reviewed by applicable faculty and staff to ensure that materials accurately reflect the College’s policies and practices. During the 2003-04 academic year, the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education (SBTCE) conducted an audit of promotional, recruiting, and student publications as part of a Method's of Administration Audit. The College received an in-compliance rating on this Method’s of Administration Audit (see Compliance Letter). Recruitment materials are monitored for accuracy by a variety of Student Services staff members. Publications are reprinted when needed and changes are made at the time of reprinting. Other materials are revised and reprinted as necessary to reflect changes in programs or services offered by the College.
