Useful Resources


While no one can force you to take advantage of the support services offered here at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, your adviser, your instructors, and your academic counselors hope you will!  This website is designed to give you some helpful information about available academic resources so you can make informed decisions about what services would be most helpful to you. 

Academic Advising

The advising Office is a great source of information related to questions on how to change your major, change advisors, or plan your class schedule.  You can also learn what you need to do to stay in good academic standing, work well with your advisor, and what happens if you are suspended or put on probation. This office is located in the S Building, Student Services.

Office of the Registrar

The register’s office is a great place to learn the deadlines for dropping, withdrawing from or adding classes, and applying for graduation. This office is located in the S Building, Student Services.

Student Support Services

Sometimes students struggle in their classes because they aren’t quite sure what they want to do with their lives and how their current courses or major are helping them move in the direction they envisioned.  Other students find themselves dealing with emotional or physical stress or disabilities that are impacting their academic success.  The following student support services can help students reduce stress, explore career options, cope with a disability or work through the changes brought about by a sudden, life changing event. This office is located in the S Building, Student Services.

Disability Services

The Disability Services office can arrange accommodations for student with documented physical, learning, or mental disabilities.  Accommodations, such as extended time on exams, or test in alternate format, are designed to make students more successful in the classroom. This office is located in the S Building, Student Services.

Financial Aid

The office of Financial Aid will help students applying financial aid, student loans and lottery assistance. This office is located in the S Building, Student Services.

Health Support
