Unifying Our Brand
Our visual elements are the most identifiable part of our brand. They make us unique. When people see them, they immediately think of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. We have to be consistent to be effective.
Logos
Our official college logo is the most visible part of our identity and should not be altered in any way.
The building illustration of the logo with our college name may be used as a design element.
- Do not stretch or shrink logos disproportionately or place a frame around them.
- Leave at least one-half inch of space around the logos.
The Marketing Department will furnish logos to academic and administrative departments or programs upon request (see Campus Logos below).
Elements of the official logo, such as the illustration of Building S, may be used at the discretion of the Marketing Department only for design purposes.
You are welcome to order promotional products for your respective program or division. Items featuring the college’s logo must be approved by the Marketing Department to ensure brand consistency.

Campus Logos
Entities that directly support the academic mission of the college (departments, programs, centers, offices, etc.) use the building brand icon with text identifiers.
OCtech entities that have a targeted audience and are non-academic may have unique logos, but incorporate colors and/or fonts associated with the college brand.
If you have questions or need assistance, contact the Marketing Department.
Mascot
Otus the Owl is Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College’s official mascot. He was introduced in fall 2022.
Otus means “owl” in Latin and refers to the largest genus of owls.
Otus’s likeness is used only as a secondary design element to the official OCtech logo.
