Deadlines to Apply for Student Loans
November 15 – Fall Term
April 15 – Spring Term
July 15 – Summer Term
If you are requesting a student loan, you will need to attend one of our Federal Direct Loan Information Sessions, where you will receive information about the loan process during the course of your education at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
If you had a student loan with Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College beginning 2013-2014 academic year or after and are requesting another student loan, you may do so by completing a Returning Borrower Loan Request Form. The request form is available in the Office of Financial Aid. Once the form has been completed in its entirety, submit it to our office for processing. Please allow 5 business days from the time you submit your request for processing.
There is no need to complete a new Master Promissory Note (MPN) or Entrance Counseling. You may borrow additional Direct Loans on a single MPN for up to 10 years. You will receive a disclosure statement that gives you specific information about any loan that the school plans to disburse under your MPN, including the loan amount, fees, and expected disbursement dates and amounts.
