Early Childhood Development Certificate
About the Certificate
The Early Childhood Development Certificate program prepares students for employment in educational programs for young children such as child development centers and nursery schools. This certificate is organized with standards from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

They also learn growth and development principles, teaching methods, health, safety and nutrition, discipline techniques, and exceptionality and early intervention techniques for working with parents.
Prior to being accepted into the program, students must:
- meet the specific program requirements outlined in admissions requirements.
- have completed physical exam, including T.B. screening and hepatitis vaccines.
- have a satisfactory police or government record check to indicate no prior child abuse or neglect record.
