

Drummond, of Lugoff, is an Associate of Science student at OCtech. She is on the President’s List, a member of Phi Theta Kappa and an OCtech Foundation scholarship recipient. Additionally, Drummond serves as a biology tutor and volunteers as a youth football team mom.
Each year, Phi Theta Kappa – the international honor society of two-year colleges – honors outstanding students from technical, junior and community colleges nationwide. Students are selected based on their exceptional academic achievement and impressive record of service to their college.
The award ceremony was followed by a Legislative luncheon, where the 16 colleges in the S.C. Technical College System were invited to share information about their programs-old-old-old-old. Kay Blackwell, dean of Health Sciences and Nursing at OCtech, highlighted her division’s diverse options.
