The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program at OCtech is one of over 1,000 Student Support Services programs on college campuses nationwide. TRIO is an academic support program designed to increase the academic performance, retention rates, and graduation rates of program participants.

Get the most out of college

The TRIO program promotes academic excellence and provides participants with the tools necessary to get the most of their post-secondary education to graduate and seek employment and/or attend a four-year college/university.

The TRIO Student Support Services Program at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College is funded by the US Department of Education to serve 209 participants.

Counseling Services

Schedule an entrance interview with a counselor and we’ll look at your academic and career goals. We can work closely with you to develop an academic plan, select the right classses for you or help you apply for financial assistance. By setting academic goals and identifying career options you’ll get the most out of what we have to offer.

College Skills

Through seminars or classes – individually or in groups – we offer assistance with the study skills necessary for college success and quality of life.

Transfer Information

If a four-year degree is your goal, we can help you with transfer essentials such as the admissions process and applying for financial aid. We have a resource library of four-year college information and we can schedule tours of various college campuses. We also provide workshops designed to prepare you for transfer to the four-year college of your choice.

First-Time Users:

Enter your OCTECH email address (@octech.edu or octech@brightspace.com)
Create a password and complete profile
Check your email for verification link and activate account

Returning Users:

Enter your OCTECH email and password
Click "Log In"

Forgot Password? Click "Forgot Password" and follow email instructions.

How to Complete a Workshop

Select a Workshop: Click "Success Workshops," choose a topic, then select a specific workshop from the list
Navigate: Use the menu on the left or arrow keys to move through content
Engage: Watch videos, enable closed captions (CC), adjust volume as needed
Complete Evaluation: Submit the evaluation at the end to earn your certificate
Access Certificate: Find your certificate on your Dashboard after completion
Review Next Steps: Check the "Next Steps" section for action plans and resources
