After completing your associate degree with us, choose the four-year college you want to transfer to to finish your bachelor's degree and get your teacher certification.

Three degrees are available, depending on the grade level you want to teach:

Paying for college is not as hard as you may think. Many of our students attend for little to no tuition cost.

$3,120 per semester

Associate in Arts - Teacher Education Transfer
(One-year Early Childhood Transfer Option)

$3,412 per semester

Applicable fees and approximately $750 for books and supplies. Your actual cost may vary.

Barbara "Babs" Hughes

Early Care and Education
Program Coordinator

Barbara (Babs) Hughes was born and raised in Orangeburg, SC. She attended the university of South Carolina where she received a BA in English literature with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She also has an MAT in ECE from USC, plus and additional 30 graduate hours with an emphasis in instructional technology. Ms. Hughes has worked in childcare across the state, as a 1st and second grade teacher, and as an elementary school administrator. She currently serves as the coordinator for the Early Childhood and Education Transfer programs at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
