Supervisory Skills
Modularized courseware explores the fundamental responsibilities of a supervisor within the context of their specific work environment. Participants develop confidence and clarity in their leadership roles, and learn to set specific goals in their professional and personal development. Participants learn how to deal with various workplace situations and implement solutions to common workplace problems.
Lean Manufacturing
This course focuses on the various lean tools that can be used to achieve manufacturing excellence. Participants learn the importance of safety and earn an OSHA 10-Hr General Industry certification. Hands-on activities and workplace simulations are used to build both process improvement and problem-solving skills. An OSHA Forklift Operator certification is also available in this course.
MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT)
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) is an industry-led training, assessment and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by the nation’s front-line production and material handling workers. The CPT program is a nationally portable, industry-recognized certification that focuses on core-competency standards identified by industry subject matter experts.

NCCER Certified Production Operator
The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is a standardized training and credentialing program developed for the construction industry. This program has also been successfully used for training in the manufacturing industry for many years. The Certified Production Operator program uses the NCCER Core Curriculum to teach entry-level production skills that are common to many industrial crafts.

NCCER Craft Assessments
The NCCER Assessment System is available for various crafts. Some crafts include Welding, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Electrical and Instrumentation. Assessments produce training prescriptions that identify skills gaps and can be used to develop customized training plans to bridge these gaps.
Enterprise Zone Program
Manufacturing, processing and technology intensive companies located in South Carolina have the opportunity to receive a refund for “retraining” employees. Subsequent to approval by the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education, by participating in the Enterprise Zone Retraining Program (E-Zone), qualified companies may be reimbursed up to $1,000 per eligible employee, per year, against withholding taxes, for certain training and education.
