DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  Under general supervision performs varied and routine grounds tasks and grounds equipment maintenance.  May also perform domestic cleaning or other custodial duties as needed.

  • Operates college grounds equipment (movers, weed eaters, tractors and forklift) to perform general grounds maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs grounds equipment maintenance and small repairs.
  • Assists supervisor with grounds tasks related to planting, weeding and lawn maintenance.
  • Assists with inventory of grounds supplies and plantings to support campus grounds operation.
  • Assist with moves, arrangements, and handling of furniture/equipment and supports setups for college functions as needed.
  • Performs miscellaneous housekeeping of campus buildings as assigned.
  • Must be able to routinely lift 25-30 lbs. and up to 50 lbs.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A high school diploma; or 10th grade education plus 1 year related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge and skill in the use and maintenance of grounds equipment, cleaning tools and equipment and safety practices.  Ability to keep accurate records and follow instructions.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  To manage and support the College’s enterprise database and related systems to include documenting, reporting and security.

•    Administers internal and hosted database management systems and provides college-wide support (e.g., programming, reporting, monitoring, coordination) for various college information systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, LMS, HDMS).
•    Participates in the development, installation, testing, and implementation of new and modified information, records management, and/or administrative systems.    
•    Provides technical support for College data systems, including contact with vendors for software package support and problem resolution.  
•    Maintains system integrity and compliance with standards and security by monitoring and testing database systems.
•    Coordinates, installs, and tests database management and related systems, including system updates and patches. 


QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma and 5 yrs. experience in computer system development and modification or a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 1year experience in computer system development and modification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in support of an ERP system at an institution of higher education is preferred.  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The ability to effectively and independently communicate with users, both verbally and in clear concise technical reports is critical for this position.  Experience with Microsoft SQL.  Excellent customer service skills are also required.  Previous experience with Ellucian Colleague and an understanding of education support business processes such as financial aid, enrollment management, finance and governmental reporting is preferred.  Experience working in a cross functional team environment is preferred.   

This position may require the incumbent to work from a remote location beyond the standard 37.5 hours/week and could include working nights, weekends, and holidays.  Employee will be required to carry a State-issued laptop for after-hours contact.  Position may also require overnight travel.  Incumbent may be required to work during emergency or hazardous weather situations.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  The employee will serve as a liaison between the Office of Career and Technology Education and the region’s school districts to ensure coordination, accountability and delivery of career development and viable K-14 programs of study to students in grades K-12;  will make business partner contacts relative to work-based learning opportunities such as shadowing and mentoring, and will provide professional development workshops in CTE and career development for teachers, guidance personnel, students and their parents.  In general, this position will support and provide career guidance activities mandated by the EEDA and Perkins IV. 
 
•    Assist schools in advancing the goals of quality career development for all students in grades K-12.
•    Coordinate professional development activities for teachers, school counselors, and career development personnel .
•    Present workshops identified by OCTE to support regional and statewide goals.
•    Support students in the exploration of career clusters and Programs of Study (POS) selection.
•    Assist with the coordination and the accountability of the district’s student career planner or Individual Graduation Plan (IGP), including dual credit opportunities.
•    Facilitate the use of career assessments and career readiness instruments.
•    Support guidance staff efforts to track and report School-to-Work (school-and work-based) data by grade level.
•    Coordinate career events and career programming with educators.
•    Coordinate community resources and community involvement relative to work-based learning and career development activities. 
•    Assist with Alliance initiatives.
•    Perform other related duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors' Degree. Certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) with proven skills in career guidance and career development.  Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field; Master’s Degree in Counselor Education or its equivalent preferred

Adjunct Radiologic Technology Instructor

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: An Adjunct Radiology Instructor to supervise Radiology student clinical rotations as well as classroom instruction. Applicant must possess the ability to organize instruction and present materials appropriately and relate to nontraditional students.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s preferred. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, certified by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association and have two year’s clinical experience.


Adjunct Automotive & Light Diesel Instructor  
DEPARTMENT: Computer, Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  Teach Computer Technology courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction.  Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement and assign grades. Teaching assignments may include both day and evening classes, online classes or hybrid classes on the main campus or in local high schools.

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Technology or Master’s Degree in Computer Technology with relevant industry certifications in Network/Cyber Security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification; two or more years of college level teaching experience and industry experience is preferred.


Adjunct Welding Instructor               
DEPARTMENT: Career and Technical Education

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Teaches classroom and laboratory courses. Prepare and teach a full range of welding coursework such as oxy-acetylene, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc (including pipe), gas tungsten arc (steel, stainless and aluminum) and fabrication. Supervises students during classroom and laboratory activities. 

SBTCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in teaching discipline or Graduate Apprentice in appropriate field.  Minimum of 5 years full-time experience or journey worker status required. 
Possess an ability and desire to teach and work with members of the department.
Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, all position plate and pipe, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Must be proficient with OxyFuel and Plasma Cutting equipment. Must be capable of operation and maintaining all welding lab equipment. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s preferred. Teaching experience with NCCER certification preferred.


Adjunct Truck Driving Instructor 
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Training and Economic Development

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Must have a valid SC Commercial Driving License and meet all requirements stated in the SC Code of Regulations Chapter 38 Department of Public Safety, 38-215.

Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid South Carolina Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License; have logged at least 100,000 miles of over-the-road truck driving or have completed a certified truck driver training school and have no convictions of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude preceding the date of application.
